The PostePay Card
The PostePay Card is an Italian invention together with VISA and Visa Electron. It is a pre-paid reloadable card purchased at any Poste Italiane (Italian postal office) and can be used to pay and buy anywhere in Italy and Europe and online.
To purchase the card you do not need to be a current bank account owner. It is enough if you produce a valid identification document, i.e. passport or driving license, and you may purchase the card at any post office.
PostePay card holders may register with the PostePay web site and can then view all card transactions, reload the card, pay bills, play at online casinos, recharge your mobile phone, etc. Furthermore, the PostePay card may be used at ATM machines displaying the VISA and Visa Electron logo.
